Title The Insider Threat: Training — The Saving Grace

MaryAnne has 20+ years of Financial Institution experience, with 15 years in IT. For the past nine years, her focus has been in IT Security, primarily in training, guidance, education, testing, risk analysis, and metrics.

She is very active in the Lansing ISSA Chapter, and has served as a board member for more than eight years. She is active in making sure that other industry colleagues have the necessary education, guidance, and support they need to provide a stable background in information security best practices for their organizations.

Her security training includes developing and presenting engaging and thought–provoking ways to ensure that staff adhere to policies, through focusing on the knowledge transfer of threats that our institutions face on a daily basis - all staff and users have a role and responsibility in providing protection. Her enthusiastic, energetic, and powerful security training matrix includes visual benchmarks that have been proven effective in many settings. Her certifications include CISSP and Security+.

She has delivered this presentation at Secure World in Dallas, Texas in 2011.

For the 2011/2012 meeting season your chapter board members are planning on having the monthly chapter meetings on the first Wednesday of each month (with a couple of exceptions), from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. And we’ll be meeting at a new location too, the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union will be hosting us at their new headquarters building, 3777 West Road, East Lansing! Please reserve the dates in your calendar. (Exceptions: 11 January 2012, 08 February 2012.)
